🛎️ Reservation Process

This page explains the steps from making a reservation with Ryokanbook to checking in at the ryokan.

The process consists of three stages: Before Reservation → After Reservation (Until Payment) → After Payment to Stay.

📌 Before Reservation

1. Consultation / Request
   • You can directly consult via LINE through the Ryokanbook site using Ryokanbook Discover. A Ryokanbook Guide will recommend plans based on your travel needs.
   • Or, you can submit a reservation request (Google Form) from each ryokan’s page.
2. Move to the Guest-Only LINE
   • After submitting your request, communication with the Ryokanbook Guide will continue on “Ryokanbook Guest,” a LINE account exclusively for guests.

📌 After Reservation (Until Payment)

1. Availability Check & Price Confirmation
   • Ryokanbook will confirm availability with the accommodation and determine the bookable plans and prices (within 1 business day).
2. Payment Link Sent
   • A payment link via Stripe will be sent through Ryokanbook Guest on LINE.
   • Please complete your payment within 48 hours.
   • If payment is not completed, the request may be automatically canceled.
3. Reservation Confirmation
   • Once the payment is completed, Ryokanbook will send a “Reservation Confirmation.”
   • Your reservation is officially confirmed when this notification is sent.

📌 After Payment to Stay

1. Travel Planning Support (Optional)

   • Through Ryokanbook Guest (LINE), we will ask about your preferences regarding transportation, activities, meals, and more.
   • Based on your requests, we will propose an itinerary (including assistance with booking experiences).

2. Coordination With the Ryokan

   • Meal allergies

   • Transportation (e.g., “Is pickup available from XX Station at XX o’clock?”)

     → Ryokanbook will coordinate with the ryokan on your behalf.

3. Communication on the Day of Stay

   • On the day of your stay, the guest and the ryokan can chat directly via Ryokanbook Guest on LINE.
   • With the built-in translation function, communication is smooth and safe in multiple languages (details on language support are available here).
